Here is my purpose in a nutshell: I want you to see how this passage requires the same commitment from the pastor’s wives as it does for every other individual within the church. In fact, it may even require more focused obedience from pastors’ wives because of the ease with which they can drift into an attitude of seeing their own husband as their only authority. If you are a pastor’s wife, this passage does not allow you to show partiality in regards to those who hold that office.
